God Forgives

There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed or hidden that will not be made known (Luke 12:2).

 Some people can go through all of their life hiding shame and guilt and hoping others will not find out what they did. This shame and guilt can eat away at them, robbing them of the joy that God has to offer them. We may be able to hide things from people, but God knows all we have ever done in our lives. God witnesses everything. He knows when we are hurting and upset about what we have done. The world may not always let us leave our past behind us, but God will.  He wants us to come to Him and repent and then let the past stay the past.

My prayer tonight is that we are never afraid to go to God and repent. I pray that once we make things right with God, we accept His gift of grace and leave our transgressions behind us. I also pray that we do not let the world’s view of us define who we are as all are sinners, and no one has a perfect track record. One day it will not matter what others think. It will only matter that our God has forgiven us and welcomes us into Heaven. On that great day all negative titles will fade, and God will give us a new name and call us His beloved. We will be a bride pure and beautiful as the blood of Jesus washes us clean.

Tonight, take the time to repent of anything you have not already sought God’s forgiveness. If you have sought God, then let go of any negative thoughts and live free letting God restore the joy He wants you to experience.
